Once you've tried this recipe for brownies, you'll never use a boxed mix again!
Ingredients
  • 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Pasolivo Tangerine Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate broken/chopped into pieces
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 ºF. Grease 13x9-inch baking pan, or line it with aluminum foil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda.
  3. Microwave sugar, Pasolivo Tangerine Olive Oil and water in a large microwave-safe bowl on high (100%) power for 4-5 minutes or until mixture bubbles, stirring once. Remove from heat. Add chocolate; stir until melted.
  4. Stir in eggs one at a time until incorporated. Stir in vanilla extract. Add flour, baking soda and salt; stir well. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Chewy, Tasty & Sweet!

Bought the Tangerine second to the last visit and wasn't 100% sure how/what to cook with it. When I saw this recipe, I immediately jumped at the chance! I knew chocolate and orange went well together so this was a no brainer. Instructions were spot on and the brownies came out beautifully ... Chewy, Tasty & Sweet!

Tangerine Olive Oil Brownies

Last weekend, while on a getaway to Paso Robles, I made the great decision to visit the Pasolivo tasting room and store. Gail was our Olive Oil guide, so knowledgeable and passionate about superior oil, vinegars and herbs. Such a delightful experience! In the store they offered samples of the Tangerine Olive Oil Brownies, and I was immediately a believer! So delicious! I ended up buying a 6 bottle sample set and quickly realized that the bottle of tangerine oil wouldn't make one recipe of brownies. I quickly went on line and ordered a full sized bottle! I received a free gift of their delicious Smokey Spice Blend. I made the brownies last night and they were well enjoyed by my entire family! Yum! I'm so glad I became a Pasolivo club member!
