This cozy holiday beverage is a mouth-watering balance of sweet, salty and malty. A kid-friendly version is equally delicious omitting the bourbon.
Ingredients

For the Malted Bourbon Vanilla:
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 ½ tsp. malted milk powder
- ¾ oz. bourbon
- 1 tsp. Cook's Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
- 1 ½ Tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
- 2 Tbsp. Orange Blossom Honey
- Himalayan Pink Sea Salt For the Maple Whipped Cream:
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- pinch of Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
- 2 Tbsp. high-quality maple syrup
- ½ tsp. Cook's Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
- 2 Tbsp. marshmallow fluff (optional)
- grated nutmeg, for garnish
Preparation
- In a small bowl combine malt powder, vanilla bean paste, condensed milk, and Orange Blossom Honey. Whisk together until smooth. The malt powder has a tendency to clump.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cream and milk. Once warmed through, remove from heat. Add the malt mixture and bourbon and stir to combine. Season with Himalayan Sea Salt to taste.
- In a small bowl, combine the cream, maple syrup, vanilla bean paste, marshmallow fluff, (if using) and Himalayan Sea Salt. Whip to stiff peaks.
- To serve, top the Malted Bourbon Hot Vanilla with a generous spoonful of Maple Cream. Grate fresh nutmeg over the top, and sprinkle with Himalayan Sea Salt. This beverage is equally delicious without the bourbon! Enjoy.
