Coming home to a kitchen with the warm, comforting smell of homemade marinara boiling is one of life's little pleasures. This marinara is includes Cucina Olive Oil and an added touch of spice with Spicy Italian Blend. Serve over pasta or in our Pasolivo Lasagna recipe.
Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons Pasolivo Cucina Olive Oil
- 2/3 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon Pasolivo Kosher Flake Sea Salt
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 tablespoons Pasolivo Spicy Italian Seasoning
- 28 ounce can peeled tomatoes
- 6 ounce can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup good, dry white wine
Preparation
- Warm Pasolivo Cucina Olive Oil in large skillet over medium-low heat.
- Add onion and Pasolivo Kosher Flake Sea Salt.
- Saute 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Simmer 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Using an immersion blender, regular blender, or food processor, blend sauce until smooth. Serve over pasta.
