Set oven rack 8" below broiler and heat broiler to high
Broil peppers and onion until soft and beginning to get dark spots, about 15 min. Because of cariations in ovens, keep checking on the vegetables
Remove vegetables from the oven and add the chicken stips in a single layer over the top. Return to oven and broil until the chicken is cooked through and browning about 5 minutes
