  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp.
  2. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon gease in the pot, discarding extra.
  4. Add the olive oil to the pot with the bacon grease.
  5. Add the chopped onion. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft and lightly browned.
  6. Stir in the cooked chopped bacon and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Add the Pasolivo Memphis BBQ Sauce and water. Stir until combined.
  8. Add the drained and rinsed garbanzo, black beans, and pinto beans. Stir gently.
  9. Sprinkle in the baking soda and Pasolivo Kosher Flake Sea Salt. Stir well. The baking soda may foam slightly.
  10. Bring the beans to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
  11. Cook uncovered for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are thickened and heated through.
  12. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm.
