Perfect for game day entertaining! Garlic and Gouda gives this classic appetizer a gourmet twist. Made with Central Coast Brewing's Golden Coast Lager.
In a small saucepan, combine the butter and flour. Cook, stirring constantly, until the roux toasts to a golden color, 2 to 3 minutes.
Add in the lager, garlic, pepper, Roasted Garlic Champagne Mustard, and cream cheese. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Add the gouda in 3 increments, whisking until completely melted and smooth before the next handful of cheese. Make sure to keep the heat low; it should never boil. If the mixture separates, pour into a blender to emulsify.
Add the Garlic Balsamic and season with Roasted Garlic Sea Salt to taste. Enjoy!
